Introducing KARERA, a vibrant Red Bourbon coffee from the highlands of Burundi, named in tribute to the iconic Karera Waterfall—a symbol of natural energy and movement in the region. Just like the waterfall, this coffee flows with character, depth, and quiet strength.
Sourced from smallholder farms in Muyinga, KARERA grows in rich volcanic soil at elevations between 1,650 and 1,750 meters. It’s naturally processed and dried on traditional raised African beds, a method that brings out the full sweetness and clarity of the beans.
The result is a bright, balanced cup with notes of blackberry, honey, and milk chocolate—comforting and smooth, with just the right amount of fruity spark. Harvested between March and June, KARERA is a beautiful expression of the land it comes from and the hands that bring it to life.
